Nontraditional wedding invitation wording

I get a lot of requests for info on how to write wedding invitation wording, especially if it's about nontraditional pairings.

For my own wedding, my husband and I were older and wanted to do the inviting ourselves rather than stating the traditional "Mr. and Mrs. Bride's Family and Mr. and Mrs. Groom's Family ask for the favor of your attendance at the marriage of Bride and Groom."

Instead, our own nontraditional wedding invitation wording was as follows:

"Bride's Name and Groom's Name,
together with their parents,
cordially invite you to our wedding
on Month XX, 200X at Location."

Other ways to vary this include writing out the names of parents. You might also want to consult a book on wedding etiquette like this one, especially if you've got stepparents or difficult family situations.

Regardless of the type of wedding invitation wording you need, the most important point is that YOU are happy with the final result.

Where to book cheap Las Vegas Weddings

What better way to start a blog than to talk about cheap Las Vegas weddings ...

I love big, beautiful traditional weddings because they are so romantic and make sure that the bride feels like a princess.

Unfortunately, when it comes to myself, I'm less inclined to want the spotlight -- at least not in my hometown with 5,000 of my closest friends in attendance. I want adventure and excitement, and if I get to travel to boot, well, life's golden!

I think if I had it to do all over again, I'd want to do something wacky and have an Elvis wedding or something equally fun just to buck the system. :) In my research, I've found a couple of wonderful Las Vegas wedding chapels that let you do your wedding your way without having to spend a lot of cash (traditional ceremonies and the likes of Elvis and adventure weddings are yours for the asking, even on a budget).

Find out more about

Where to find wedding cake toppers?

Folks, I have been looking all over the Web for a good source of wedding cake toppers for probably 3 years.

I make it a practice never to recommend sites to my readers unless I really feel good about a vendor's products and purchasing experience, and I make a point not to include lousy vendors just because they're available.

Can anyone out there help me out?

If you've come across a great site that sells lovely wedding cake toppers, if you sell wedding cake toppers, etc., please let me know so that I can add it to my site.
